What a whirlwind! Just as we suspected, it’s taking us a little time to get our sea—or I guess in this case—RV legs. We left D.C. yesterday evening and started our adventure this morning at the Lawrence County Fair in New Castle, Pennsylvania. They call this fair “The Greatest Show in Western Pennsylvania,” and while we haven’t seen many other shows in Western, PA, I think they’re probably right. None of us can wait for the stock tractor and street legal 4×4 truck pull scheduled for tomorrow night.

But more important than the events at the fair, the people we have had a chance to talk to today have been wonderful. Everyone here really seems to understand how important affordable energy prices are to families, businesses, and jobs here in PA and across the country. We can only hope that Senators Specter and Casey will use the same logical thinking Pennsylvanians are this fall when they vote on the energy tax.

I think what you are doing is a fine thing. They’re doing the old “statue of liberty” play, with all the focus on socialized medicine while the mix up the poison brew on energy they intend to make us drink when they get back from getting whatfor from the citizens. it’s about time somebody called them out.
You people don’t care about the polar bears dying or the tidal waves that will wipe Pennsylvania right off the map. I saw a movie with Al Gore in it and he said this would all happen, and I believe whatever he says because he has a Nobel prize, which means he’s smarter than you. America needs a cap-and-trade program in order to stop industry from ruining our tourism opportunities. America’s future is tourism for rich foreign tourists who will buy back all those t-shirts they make and sell us, and the quicker you dinosaurs get used to it, the quicker it will happen. The politicians will take care of us. Trust them.
