Welcome aboard the American Energy Express!

With job-killing legislation advancing through Congress that will fundamentally alter the American way of life, the American Energy Alliance, a non-partisan, not-for-profit grassroots advocacy group, has embarked on a month-long bus tour to educate working-families, retirees, small business owners and every American that uses energy on cap-and-trade.

The Stop the National Energy Tax, Save American Jobs bus tour will focus on providing citizens in towns across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia and Virginia with the facts they need to know about cap-and trade legislation, while providing them with the tools they need to effectively engage in the ongoing debate about America’s energy security.

And since politicians who support the national energy tax would rather not discuss its potentially devastating details, we’re happy to take the facts directly to the American people.

Cap-and-trade will increase energy prices, increase unemployment, and would cripple our sluggish economy. Our manufacturers, many of whom are struggling to survive, would be hit the hardest.

So at county fairs, ball games, car races and rallies, we will highlight the fact that while most Americans on Main Street are making tough family budget decisions to make ends meet, some in Washington are marching full speed ahead to make those choices even harder by mandating more expensive and unreliable energy to power America.
